Just a few days before the 2017 Mobile World Congress, one more year Barcelona is preparing to become the technological capital of the world and to welcome thousands of visitors who come looking for innovation, avant-garde and the latest technological bets in the world of mobile technology.
Since 2006, the first time the Mobile World Congress was organized in Barcelona, this fair has experienced an exponential and constant growth: more than 100.000 attendees visited it last year, in 2016, doubling the 50,000 who attended the first edition in Barcelona. Of the total of the attendees more than half are of a senior professional profile, and 5.500 are CEOs of companies dedicated to mobile technology.
According to a survey conducted in 2016, 84% of the public qualify MWC as “the most important event in the mobile industry”, while 74% consider it “the most relevant event”.
