Before the transportation, the recommendable thing to do is to go with time to the place of departure to avoid any possible problem. If we travel by plane this emphasizes, given that the walks in the airport can get endless and you are in risk of not getting on time to your gate of departure in time if we must document the baggage.
During your own trip, it’s better to stretch your legs every two hours. How can we do it? If the trip is by plane, we can take walks through the airplane halls, on the other hand, if it’s done by highway you need to get down from the vehicle in some already stablished stops.
If the diet is balanced it’s always a great costume, in an elder age it becomes something nonoptional to maintain good health. However, the stomach can suffer if we rush to try some exotic dishes from a new culture… which is why it’s better to try new gastronomies always with moderation.
Despite this advice that it is to be follow independently depending the age, when we get older it is convenient to have it more in account to prevent possible health care problems in the place of destination.
In first place, the health documentation is always to be carried in the luggage, since this way we can receive medical attention if in need. Which are the cards that we can’t forget? The individual health card -for medical attention in Spain- and for medical attention in the European Union- they are essential, just like the travel insurance if you leave European territory.
The second essential part of the health care is the medicines, something that most elders take with assiduity. In case of having a long-term treatment we need to make sure we are taking enough medicine to cover the whole time of the trip, just like the doctor reports indicate to follow said treatment.
For last, it’s important to pack a small first aid kit: In which you should have the essential elements such as pills for seasickness, sticking plaster or bandage, and some analgesics.
