Palau Sant Jordi - Barcelona

Palau Sant Jordi was designes by the Japanese architect Arata Isozaki due to 1992 Olympics Games. It is on the Montjuic hilltop and it has celebrated the most important events in Barcelona.

Palau Sant Jordi is an international and national reference and it hosts famous sports competitions and tours of the top national and international performers. 

In recent years, it has hosted World Championships in Athletics (2010), two David Cup (2000 and 2009), World Championships Handball (2013) and two World Swimming Championships (2003 and 2013).  Also, top international performers like as Bruce Springsteen, U2, Shakira or Madonna; and national performers like Joan Manuel Serrat, Sabina, Alejandro Sanz or David Bisbal. 

 

Palau Sant Jordi – how to get there?

Palau Sant Jordi is near to the centre and Barcelona Airport.  It is connected to the main Barcelona public transports: metro Barcelona, train (Renfe) and taxis. 

AEROBÚS

From Barcelona Airport (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2), you can take the Aerobus to our first stop at Plaça Espanya. It is about 20 minutes aprox. Check Aerobus Barcelona Timetable

METRO BARCELONA

The nearest metro station is “Espanya”, L1 (red line) and L3 (green line). For more information you can check Metro Barcelona website

BUS

TMB public buses stop at “Plaça Espanya” and it is walking distance to Palau Sant Jordi 

TRaiN – Ferrocarrils Catalans (FGC)

All FGC lines stops at “Espanya”, in front of Fira Montjüic. For more information check FGC webiste.
