RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Return Online ticket: Please store safely the ticket you receive from the bus driver after he scans the QR code. You will need to show it upon your return journey. This ticket will be the only valid ticket on your return journey. 
  • Please provide the exact price of the ticket or as close as possible.
  • Do not distract the driver.
  • Proceed to the exit door when your stop is close.
  • Keep your ticket throughout the entire journey.
  • Consider the additional time you will need for check-in etc. once you have arrived to the airport.

Questions

  • For the route from Barcelona in direction to the airport the bus stops are: Pl. Catalunya, Sepúlveda-Urgell and Pl. Espanya.
  • For the route from the airport in direction to Barcelona the bus stops are: Pl. Espanya, Gran Via-Urgell, Pl. Universitat and Pl. Catalunya. It is not possible to take the bus at the stops direction to Pl. Catalunya.

You can not take the bus at Pl. Universitat to go to the airport. You have to take it from either Pl. Catalunya, Sepúlveda-Urgell or Pl. Espanya.

No, the closest stop to Sants Estació is Pl. Espanya.

From Pl. Espanya you can get to Sants Estació by metro L3 (direction Zona Universitaria, 2 stops), taxi or by walking about 10 minutes.

From Sants Estació you can get to Pl. Espanya by metro L3 (direction Trinitat Nova, 2 stops), taxi or by walking about 10 minutes.

No, if you have to go to Estació del Nord we recommend you take the AEROBÚS to Pl. Catalunya (end of line) and from there take the metro line L1 (red line, direction Fondo, 2 stops) to Arc de Triomf.

The average trip is 35 minutes but it depends on the traffic, weather and other possible causes that the service cannot control.

The average journey time is about 35 minutes but may vary depending on the traffic conditions, weather conditions or any uncontrollable circumstances that might affect the service.

We recommend you consider this time and check with your airline how long in advance you should be at the airport and plan accordingly the time when to catch the bus.

Line A1 drives to Terminal 1.

Line A2 drives to Terminal 2.

The operating hours of AEROBÚS are:

• A1 direction airport from 5:00 h to 00:30 h
• A1 direction Barcelona from 5:35 h to 1:05 h
• A2 direction airport from 5:00 h to 00:30 h
• A2 direction Barcelona from 5:35 h to 1:00 h

In this case you have to use other means of transport. The night bus lines N16 (A2) and N17 (A1) connect Ronda Universitat-Pl. Catalunya with the airport.

AEROBÚS runs 365 days a year without exception, always with the same operating hours, timetable and frequency.

You can pay by credit card (VISA and MASTERCARD):

  • on our website in the section buy tickets
  • at the ticket vending machines

You can pay in cash to:

  • the bus stop staff
  • the bus driver

Single ticket

- The bus driver / the bus stop staff / at the ticket vending machines tickets are valid for up to 1 hour after purchase.

- The online ticket is valid for up to 1 year to be used on AEROBÚS. 

Return ticket

- The bus driver / the bus stop staff / ticket vending machines tickets: the outgoing journey is valid for up to 1 hour after purchase. The return journey is valid for up to 15 days after using the outbound journey.

- The online ticket: The outgoing journey is valid for up to 1 year to be used on AEROBÚS. The return ticket is valid for up to 15 days after using the outbound journey. 

After this time, the tickets are not valid. 

Children under 4 years travel for free. From 4 years on everybody pays the same price for the ticket.

It is not possible to reserve a seat on AEROBÚS.

You can only buy the ticket in advance on our website. The online tickets are valid for up to 1 year to be used on AEROBÚS. The return ticket is valid for up to 15 days after using the outbound journey.

After this time, the tickets will be expired.

No. 

If you don't have the possibility to print the voucher before travelling, do not worry! You can also show your mobile phone or tablet (with electronic ticket received in PDF) and bus driver scans the QR code directly from your device.

Yes.

You can buy a return ticket and use the return for the other terminal.

Example: If you arrive at Terminal 2 and buy the ticket there you can later return taking the A1 to Terminal 1.

No.

AEROBÚS is not a service within the Fare System and therefore tickets like T-10, T-Month, T-50/30, T-Youth, T-Quarter, T-Familiar or T-Day cannot be used. The tickets Barcelona Card and Hola BCN cannot be used for the Aerobús either.

Currently we do not offer any discount on the AEROBÚS tickets.

No.

The AEROBÚS ticket does not allow for change over or any other type of transport as it is not an integrated service to the Fare System.

When you buy your ticket online and register as a user, please check the box "I need the invoice" and you will receive your invoice as PDF document via e-mail.

In case you bought your ticket on site, please contact our customer service at info@sgmt.cat with the invoice data and your scanned tickets.

Everything that can be transported on the plane can be taken on the AEROBÚS.

There is a specifically designed space in the inside of the vehicles for suitcases and packages.

Please always keep an eye on your belongings.

Yes.

All items that may be carried on the plane, can also be carried on the AEROBÚS.

Inside the buses there is a reserved area especially for carrying wheelchairs, children's push chairs, bicycles and bulky luggage.

It could happen that if the bus is already full you would have to wait for the next one, for your own safety and that of other passengers.

Pets are allowed as long as they are in boxes or cages of appropriate sizes and that do not bother other passengers.

Blind and deaf people can travel with their guide dogs.

All our buses are adapted, with wheelchair ramps, for persons with reduced mobility.

It it not necessary to fold the wheelchair. The person using it can travel sitting in the wheelchair in the area reserved for that purpose, always properly secured by seat belts.

If you prefer, you can also travel with the wheelchair folded and placed in the area reserved for luggage and instead travel sitting in a bus seat.
